📝 The Full Story

This is the same street where you have Panza Verde, which also has an amazing restaurant for dinner time, and it's also the path to Caoba Farms, one of my favorite places to have breakfast. But before Caoba, Escalonia was the best place on my list. Now it would be number two, but if you stay a couple of days in Antigua, you actually need several places. Why do I like Escalonia? First, this is a flower and plant shop, so you're basically in a gigantic garden with a lot of beautiful plants, and in between them there are some tables. You can get an amazing watermelon breakfast, your huevitos revueltos, your frijoles, your cheese and tortillas. They also sell chocolate and other delicatessen. Their jugos are pretty good, and the service is really good. Because you're kind of hidden between all the plants, they have these buttons you can press to ring a bell so they come to you, and they are very attentive. I highly recommend going during the week, because it gets a little crowded on weekends, and it's really a beautiful experience. You can also stay there for a while with your laptop, checking email and doing some work, with a cup of hot coffee. Escalonia, the garden where you get your breakfast in Antigua Guatemala. Highly recommended.
