📝 The Full Story
I didn't really understand why I liked this restaurant so much the first time I was there, but it was probably because I was sitting at the bar next to the chef and he was finishing all these delicious French plates in front of me. And then it hit me. This used to be a sushi bar, and they kept that dynamic. They bring all the experience of cooking French food in Paris into San Francisco, but they do it and serve the plates with all the finishing touches right in front of you. That's kind of nice. Mijoté has a great, minimalistic, fixed-price menu with a couple of add-ons. You're going to love their bread and check the pairings or just see what's eclectic today in their wine list because they always have some great stuff. And make sure to ask to be seated at the bar. That's the best location.
