## Review

Cervecería Catalana: still the happy place, walk in and wait.

A teacher pointed us here in a cool hunting class a few decades ago. Still today, any visit to Barcelona includes this room. Good for groups.

Mallorca 236. No reservations. You walk in, wait for a table, and the service is really efficient. The same team runs Ciudad Condal, Vinitus, and La Flauta. Same machine. Tapas is the specialty. The jamón was special this time.

Order the pincho de solomillo, pincho de gambas, navajas, and tortilla de patata. Pimientos de padrón, anchoas, and manchego. Local wine, or a caña. Clara or tinto de verano if you want to go light.

Finish always with crema catalana.
